He started his career as a filmmaker at the age of 21 filming documentaries for writer/producer Shane Salerno (NYPD Blue, Salinger, Savages). After getting a bachelor’s degree in Film and Television in Hollywood, California he began editing commercials and music videos. Naturally, David wanted to take the next step and started writing and directing short films and has participated in over 50 festivals worldwide including Berlin, Toronto, Rotterdam, New York and Los Angeles. He continues shooting all types of short-form television and has directed commercials for a wide range of clients including Ad Council, PBS, Doctors Without Borders and Diesel Jeans.

Award-winning filmmaker Troy Dovey’s passion for film and music has led him to become a unique talent. A former Hugo Boss model and pitcher for the Houston Astros turned filmmaker, Troy hungered to make his mark in the art scene early on when he turned to filmmaking while still in college. He has also been influential in the independent music scene as an artist and producer for over 10 years, opening for bands such as The Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones, Kid Rock, Buckcherry and Flock of Seagulls, among others. One of his musical projects, Purge, was nominated for “The Best Unsigned Band” award by the nationally recognized magazine Musician. Troy has assistant directed, scored and edited numerous films. His editing skills and his music scoring abilities capitalize on his acclaimed musical achievements. His combined love for film, the visual arts and music, along with his natural creative and physical abilities have elevated him to a uniquely versatile level of talent. He is accomplished at focusing on various components at the same time, producing, directing, writing, shooting, editing and film scoring among other things.
